My first upholstery project

Mum saved this old stool/basket from a family friend years ago, & passed it down to me when I moved out of home. The calico cover desperately needed to be replaced.
I enrolled myself into an upholstery course & decided to make this my first project - nice & simple, perfect for learning the basics.
You can see my process above - from start to finish (minus a few steps in-between). I completed it last night & am happy with the final result - bright, cheery & new!

I made my first ever furniture purchase in the weekend. This restored retro sofa. I am in loooove :)

all that glitters

The amazing gold glitter & chocolate ganache cake from my engagement party.

My friend is getting married in two weeks, & I was given the task of designing her hens night invitation. It was a fun little project, & I really love the end result...
I thought I would share some images with you.

p.s: this is one of the duds - the font on the front printed too high. But you probably didnt notice...!

I just spent a whole lot of money on some alexander girard dolls from Cite.
My poor savings account!

Have a happy weekend. I think we are in for a wet one.

Brighton Beach huts - I dig those clashing colours!

sorry Australia, it just had to be done. We thought it might be illegal to paint over the star,
so this was the next best thing.

this was the hut most worthy of my 'model' pose
