birthday present?
My days of being a 20 something year old are numbered - 30 is looming...eek!
As a birthday treat to mark this milestone I am thinking about purchasing a real piece of art, rather than the prints I usually purchase.I have approached Flox for a potential commission piece - exciting! fingers crossed it goes ahead.

flox murals make car park sing
I'm going to park here just so I can see her work.
p.s: did you know you can buy Flox greeting cards at Iko Iko? I almost went mad in the weekend with this discovery.

beautiful things
When you hear about a group of young Art & Design graduates coming together to create, you know you can expect to see beautiful things.
Tofutree has teamed up with toggle to bring us a range of brightly coloured, kiwiana themed art and cards...
'Our main focuses of work are paintings and jewellery designs, and the main source of inspiration is the natural beauty and kiwi lifestyle that can be found only in our precious country. Every work reflects the uniqueness of true New Zealand identity, whether it is the people, nature, or the environment. We hope to continuously make lovable things and share them with you.'

a statement piece
I seen all sorts of animal shaped cushions, round cushions, square cushions, knitted cushions, but never a house cushion!
Celebrating the boxy-ness of a classic kiwi state house, this Genevieve Packer cushion is the perfect addition to all good couches.
Available to buy here.

peachy keen
I was lucky enough to attend the wedding ceremony of one of the girls at work earlier this summer, & just spied her wedding invite online at Magpie Press. I love the peach colour scheme she choose & the font ties in perfectly.
Also loving these Magpie press limited edition prints. Lovely.

tee shirts
I am always on the look out for a new, fun tee.
These original prints commissioned from NZ artists Michael Harrison, Sean Kerr & John Reynolds are the perfect find for a tee shirt lovin' person like me :)
Sold at Artspace, the Tee Shirts 'transcend the boundaries between fashion & art'.
My fav is the John Reynolds 'form a crowd' tee.

forever flowers
flowers

A toggle email landed in my inbox 5 minutes ago, I was so excited about these hand printed & sewn roses I had to post them straight away.
If you're a fake flower fan (why?!), then throw away your boring bunches & get these into your house. You'll be the envy of all your fake flower collecting friends (do these people exist?!). I LOVE these!
